The Pakawalups were formed in 2005 when sister Vicki did some research on our dad's time in England during WW II as a member of the Mighty 8th Air Force. As a result of Vicki's research, we joined the 401st Bomb Group and were off to a mini-reunion in England. However, when we landed at busy Heathrow Airport in July of 2005, London was experiencing a terrorist bombing of the subways and buses. Lucky for us, we were quickly spotted by other members of the 401st Bomb Group, whisked off away from Heathrow and out of London to Deenethorpe, England - site of the 401st Bomb Group during WW II. The Pakawalups have performed in Deenethorpe, England, Nashville, Tennesee, Savannah, Georgia and Washington DC. Our next reunion with the 401st Bomb Group in August 2012 in Colorado Springs, CO.
